Don’t get me started…

So was Jesus a minimalist?

The gift of writing should never be taken lightly. It’s truly a “muscle” that must be exercised. Every opportunity you get go for it. Don’t think twice about it. I recently have been asking God to respond to my desires. One desire was to be able to write again. I for sometime felt as if I was under a spell of writers block. Honestly, I had no desire. I knew suddenly when I asked Him he would respond because it’s always Gods desire for us to share more of Him.

I started this blog mentioning if Jesus was a minimalist well let’s break this down with His scripture.

As Jesus says in Matthew 6:19-21: “Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust consume and where thieves break in and steal; but store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust consumes and where thieves do not break in and steal.

Does God want us to be minimalist?

How we spend our money, and how we use it, matters to Jesus. The message we get from society is to buy, buy, buy. As Christians, we are called to be counter-cultural and strive to be minimalists in a consumer society—because we know that our life's meaning is not wrapped up in material things.

By embracing minimalism, Christians can free themselves from some of the distractions of modern life and instead focus on deepening their relationship with God and living a life of purpose. Adopting Christian minimalism can help bring clarity to our lives, reduce stress, and allow us to live more intentionally.

His Desires,

Janelle
